Robert Turpin Bowles 
Robert Turpin was born on May 21st, 1905. Robert Turpin's father was Jesse Turpin Bowles and his mother was Lucy Tate Winston. His paternal grandparents were James Uriah Bowles and Lucy Susan Bowles; his maternal grandparents were Edward Gates Winston and Jane Elizabeth Duval. He had two brothers and five sisters, named William Anderson, James Edwin, Ila Williams, Janie Roberta, Annie Winston, Lucy Kathleen and Mary Louise. He was the third oldest of the eight children.-
