Bertha Bolling 
Bertha was born on October 11th, 1869 in Wythville, VA. Bertha's father was William Holcombe Bolling and her mother was Sallie Spiers White. Her paternal grandparents were Archibald Bolling and Anne E. Wigginton; her maternal grandparents were William Allen White and Lucy McDaniel Reese. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Rolfe Emerson, William Archibald, Charles Rodefer, John Randolph, Richard Wilmer, Julian Brandon, Gertrude, Annie Lee, Edith and Geraldine. She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.-
