Emma Jane was born on August 18th, 1867 in Greencastle, Putnam, Indiana, USA.1 Emma Jane's father was *James William Sadler and her mother was *Mary Elizabeth Swinford. Her paternal grandparents were *Mathias Sadler and Ann Sadler; her maternal grandparents were George Swinford and Francis Hutchinson. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named John William, Frank, George F, Ida Ellen, Cora L., Orah Alice, Bessie, *Anna Belle, Fannie Dell and Fannie F. She was the second oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 86 on July 13th, 1954 in Pickering, Nodaway, Missouri, USA.-
