His paternal grandparents were *Robert Mitchell and *Elizabeth A Allison; his maternal grandparents were *Jonathan Collom and Martha Seigneur. He had six brothers and a sister, named Robert Allison, Samuel C, Luther C, James Allison, Alexander C, Isaac Bennett and Sarah Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 62 on July 12th, 1884 in Washington, Arkansas, USA.1 -
