Emma Lay

Emma was born on April 15th, 1855 in Mississippi, USA. Emma's father was *Jessie G Lay and her mother was *Barbara Cooke. Her paternal grandparents were Amos Sr Lay and *Sarah Otterson; her maternal grandparents were *Nelson Mordecai Cooke and *Nancy Esther McGee. She had a brother and twelve sisters, named John A, *Martha Ann, Martha, Terilla E., Mary Jane, Charlotte, Sarah, Zarilla, Frances, Caroline, Alice, Ellen and Emily. She was the fourth youngest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 44 on February 17th, 1900 in Grenada, Grenada, Mississippi, USA.
