Lazarus Gatlin

Lazarus was born in 1785 in North Carolina, USA.¹ Lazarus' father was *Lazarus Gatlin and his mother was *Sarah Sally Lucas. His paternal grandparents were *Edward Gatlin and Elizabeth Reel; his maternal grandparents were *Charles Lucas and *Kathleen Annie Kawood. He had six brothers and three sisters, named William, Jesse, Enoch, Edmond, Thomas G, Nathan Marion, Charity, Nancy Holland and Polly Mary. He was the second youngest of the ten children.
