Aegon's father was Prince Rhaegar Targaryen and his mother was Princess Elia Martell.  His paternal grandparents were Aerys ("Mad King") Targaryen II and Queen Rhaella Targaryen; his maternal grandfather was Prince Maron Martell and his maternal grandmother is <Unknown>. He had a sister named Rhaenys.  He died due to murder / assassination, By Gregor Glegane during Sack of King's Landing,.
