Jeanie was born on November 10th, 1904 in 11 Scarlow Street,Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire,Scotland.1  Jeanie's father was Alexander Percy and her mother was Ann Archibald.  Her paternal grandparents were William John Percy and Sarah Wallace; her maternal grandparents were John Archibald and Annie Harbison. She had two brothers and a sister, named Alex, John and Mary.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
