Alexander, known as Alex, was born on December 18th, 1907 at Montgomery Street.  Alex's father was Alexander Percy and his mother was Ann Archibald.  His paternal grandparents were William John Percy and Sarah Wallace; his maternal grandparents were John Archibald and Annie Harbison. He had a brother and two sisters, named John, Jeanie and Mary.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 81 on January 16th, 1989.  His burial was at the Port Glasgow Cemetary.
