Gunhild was born in 1844.  Gunhild's father was Tobias Oftebro and her mother was <Unknown>.  Her paternal grandparents were Villum Christian Henriksen Oftebro and Gunhild Tollaksdatter Oftebro (Rom). She had three brothers and five sisters, named Christian, Tobias, Ole, Karen, Anna, Anna, Maria and Katrine.  She was the second oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 88 in 1932.
