Wallace Durant was born on September 6th, 1870.  Wallace Durant's father was Welcome White and his mother was Frances Marietta Read.  His paternal grandparents were Daniel White and Mary Durant. He had a brother and five sisters, named Wilber Henry, Clara Marietta, Flora Edith, Jennie Irene, Minnie Marion and Leila Mabel.  He was the sixth oldest of the seven children.
