Claire K. Wynn

Claire K. was born on September 16th, 1903 in Bayard, Miami Co., KS..¹ Claire K.'s father was John Anderson Wynn and his mother was Grace Myrtle King. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Jefferson Wynn and Violet McFarland Gist. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Harley Murton, George Elizah, Clyde K., James Wallace, John Homer, Walter Mitchell, Hazel May and Ruby Mable. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 1 on February 24th, 1905 in La Grande, KS..

  "In the winter of 1904Claire developed pneumonia and died at 18 months
  of age. The sudden loss oftheir child surely must have been heart
  breaking. How Clyde would miss his twin. Hazel remembers the day,
  vividly.
  The day was bitterly cold. Relatives, neighbors and friends had gathered
  at the home."
