Male Richard Earl McCotter

Richard Earl was born on July 17th, 1917 in Merritt, Pamlico, North Carolina, United States.1   Richard Earl's father was William Richard McCotter and his mother was Bessie Mon Rawls.  His paternal grandparents were Barney and Susan A Fulsher; his maternal grandparents were Lewis Dennis Rawls and Matilda Jane Wharton. He had a brother and five sisters, named William Richard, Lucy Jane, Annie Elizabeth Luvenia (Minnie), Annie, Sadie Lorraine and Sadie.  He was the youngest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Saint Elmo, Shade (Shadrack), Susan Matilda and Martha.  He died at the age of 58 in September 1975.1
