George David Hammett

George David was born on April 21st, 1876 in St Marys, St Mary's, Maryland, United States.¹ George David's father was David C Hammett and his mother was Heneritta A. (Hennie) Cox. His paternal grandparents were John B. Hammett and Ann Elizabeth Wilkinson; his maternal grandparents were George H Cox and Sarah G Bean. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named John Joachim, Richard Thomas, Joseph, James Gibbons, Charles Somerset, Sarah Sallie R, Sarah (Sallie), Carry "Carrie", Mary, Elizabeth Cecelia, Rosa Jane and Rosa L. He was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children. He had two half-sisters named M Pauline and Mary Jane. He died at the age of 75 on January 24th, 1952 in St Marys, St Mary's, Maryland, United States.
