John B. Hammett

John B. was born on November 8th, 1803 in St Mary's, Maryland, United States.¹ John B.'s father was Richard Hammett and his mother was Nancy Biscoe. His paternal grandparents were Mckelvie Hammett and Henrietta Hammett?. He had three brothers named Ignatius B., Samuel Biscoe and Henry. He was the youngest of the four children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Henry, Ignatius B, John B and Sophia. He died at the age of 70 on January 20th, 1874 in St. Mary's Co., MD. He was buried in January 1874 in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Patuxent River, MD.²³
