G Ambrose was born about 1882 in Pennsylvania.¹ G Ambrose's father was Charles Rittew Ackley and his mother was Elizabeth Ackley ?. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Ackley and Mary E. Hawke. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Ambrose I, John S, Robert, Katie, Annie, Ada M, Ata Morris and Maggie. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He had a half-sister named Mazie A.
