George Frederick was born in 1847 in Pembroke Dock, Wales, UK.  George Frederick's father was George Frederick Wellington SCOTT and his mother was Mary Howard Elford TREVENA.  His paternal grandparents were William SCOTT and Lavinia. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Frederick, John, Henry, Lavinia, Mary and Jane.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.
