Elizabeth was born in 1832 in Marden, Kent.  Elizabeth's father was William LADUMS and her mother was Mary ANSON.  Her paternal grandparents were John LADAMS and Mary. She had seven brothers and a sister, named John, William, Stephen, Charles, Henry, James, Alfred and Mary.  She was the youngest of the nine children.
