William Thomas was born on November 30th, 1888 in Marylebone.  William Thomas' father was William George HOLLOWAY and his mother was Henrietta ROSE.  His maternal grandparents were George ROSE and Sarah REYNOLDS. He had two brothers and a sister, named George, Albert Charles and Emily.  He was the youngest of the four children.
