Emily was born in 1884 in Marylebone.  Emily's father was William George HOLLOWAY and her mother was Henrietta ROSE.  Her maternal grandparents were George ROSE and Sarah REYNOLDS. She had three brothers named George, Albert Charles and William Thomas.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
