Sarah was born in 1762 in Sutton Valence, Kent, England.  Sarah's father was David BOULDEN and her mother was Sarah STANLEY.  Her paternal grandparents were John BOLDING and Elizabeth; her maternal grandparents were Zebulon STANLEY and Sarah. She had six brothers and four sisters, named James, David, Thomas Tonge, John, George, William, Jemima, Elizabeth, Ann and Mary.
