George was born in 1779 in Chart-Next-Sutton Valence, Kent, England.  George's father was David BOULDEN and his mother was Sarah STANLEY.  His paternal grandparents were John BOLDING and Elizabeth; his maternal grandparents were Zebulon STANLEY and Sarah. He had five brothers and five sisters, named James, David, Thomas Tonge, John, William, Sarah, Jemima, Elizabeth, Ann and Mary.  He died at the age of 80 in 1859.
