Daniel was born on February 15th, 1801 in Fauquier, VA.  Daniel's father was George Jones and his mother was Mary Rhodes.  His paternal grandparents were Solomon Jones and Elizabeth Neville. He had seven brothers and a sister, named George, James, Tholemiah, William, Solomon, Samuel, John and Letitia.  He was the youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 53 on May 16th, 1854 in Henry, Kentucky.
