Elizabeth was born on August 24th, 1880. Elizabeth's father was Solomon Johnston and her mother was Alice (Dora) Glendora Clifford. Her paternal grandparents were Herndon Courtis Johnston and Mary Ann Jones. She had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Addison, Earnest, Carl, Lawrence, Lenorah, Mary, Alice, Ida and Florence. She was the third oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 96 on April 28th, 1977 in Waterville, KS.
