Enoch was born on January 18th, 1836.1   Enoch's father was John Diamond and his mother was Jane McNeil.  His maternal grandparents were James McNeill and Jane Smilie. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Luke, William, James, John , Benjamin, Mary, Nancy and Sarah.  He was the sixth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 25 on December 8th, 1861.1
