George was born about 1452 in Of, Badley, Suffolk, England.  George's father was Simon (Symon) POLEY and his mother was Margaret (Margery) ALCOCKE.  His paternal grandparents are Richard POLEY and Margaret (Mary) BLYANT; his maternal grandfather is Edmund ALCOCKE. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Henry, Edmund, Simon, Thomas, Margery, Elizabeth, Anne and Isabell.  He died after October 31st, 1535.  His burial was before March 28th, 1536.
