Fred was born on October 19th, 1886 in Portage La Prairie Man Can.  Fred's father was William BURTON and his mother was Sara Ann TAYLOR.  His paternal grandparents are William BURTON and Philadelphia MESSENGER; his maternal grandparents are Thomas TAYLOR and Esther ACKLAND. He had three brothers named Ernest William, William Arthur and George Ackland.  He was the third oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 90 on June 19th, 1977.
