Rosalia was born on February 15th, 1841 in Aarschot.  Rosalia's father was Philippus De Preter and her mother was Maria-Theresia Moons.  Her paternal grandparents were Antoon-Josephus De Preter and Maria-Theresia Muyts; her maternal grandparents were Petrus-Josephus Moons and Francisca Cornelia Patteef. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Franciscus, Florenciscus, Victor, Eulogia, Eugenia and Elisabeth.  She was the third oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 51 on December 21st, 1892 in Aarschot.
