Elisabeth was born on February 18th, 1852 in Aarschot.1   Elisabeth's father was Philippus De Preter and her mother was Maria-Theresia Moons.  Her paternal grandparents were Antoon-Josephus De Preter and Maria-Theresia Muyts; her maternal grandparents were Petrus-Josephus Moons and Francisca Cornelia Patteef. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Franciscus, Florenciscus, Victor, Rosalia, Eulogia and Eugenia.  She was the youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 34 on May 16th, 1886 in Aarschot.
