Walter Arthur was born on November 16th, 1905.  Walter Arthur's father was William Howson Moorby and his mother was Mary Jane Bird.  His paternal grandparents are John Moorby and Sarah Elizabeth Taylor; his maternal grandparents are John Bird and Sarah Jane Bird.  He had three brothers and four sisters, named Percy, Albert, Rowland, Elizabeth J, Ethel E, Sarah A and Florie.  He died at the age of 79 on December 21st, 1984 in Cartmel, Lancashire, England.  His burial was on January 4th, 1985 in Cartmel priory church of St Marys and St Michael (grave no 329).1 2
