William Howson was born about 1866 in Arkholme, Lancashire, England.1   William Howson's father is John Moorby and his mother is Sarah Elizabeth Taylor.  His paternal grandmother is Elisabeth Seed; his maternal grandparents are John Taylor and Elisabeth Taylor.  He had two brothers and two sisters, named Leonard, Ernest, Elizabeth and Ann Jane.  He had a half-brother named John.  He died in 1959.  His burial was on June 30th, 1959 in Grange over Sands Cemetary (grave 506).2
