Mary Jane was born about 1865 in Aldingham, Lancashire, England.1   Mary Jane's father is John Bird and her mother is Sarah Jane Bird.  Her paternal grandparents are Thomas Bird and Ann Bird.  She had six brothers and five sisters, named Richard, Thomas, John, Joseph, Septimus, William, Ann, Emma, Agnes, Sarah A. and Lilly.  She died in 1934.  Her burial was on August 14th, 1934 in Grange over Sands Cemetary (grave 506).2
