Fanny was born in year 1796 in Mawgan, Cornwall.  Fanny's father was William Langdon and her mother was Jane Bullock.  Her maternal grandparents were  Steven Bullock and  Frances Vivian.  She was the youngest of twelve children.  She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Henry, Thomas, Stephen, Ralph, Ann, Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Catherine, Sarah and Maria.
