Stephen was born in year 1791 in Mawgan, Cornwall.  Stephen's father was William Langdon and his mother was Jane Bullock.  His maternal grandparents were  Steven Bullock and  Frances Vivian.  He was the eighth of twelve children.  He had three brothers and eight sisters, named Henry, Thomas, Ralph, Ann, Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Catherine, Sarah, Maria and Fanny.  He died, at the age of 77 years, on August 30th, 1868 in Mawgan, Cornwall.
