Jane was born in year 1862 in Collingwood, Victoria.  Jane's father was Edwin F Bullock and her mother was Mary Ann Pearce.  Her paternal grandparents were James G Bullock and Mary Tamblyn; her maternal grandparents were  William Pearce and  Rebecca Weekes.  She was the fourth of seven children.  She had three brothers and three sisters, named Ernest, Charles, William, Mary, Saville and Edith.
