István Pőthe

István was born on August 21st, 1881 in Nagypaka and his baptism took place there on August 22nd, 1881.¹   István's father was Tamás Pőthe and his mother was Erzsébet Tóth.  His paternal grandparents were István Pöthe and Rozália Pöthe; his maternal grandmother was Veronika Tóth. He had six sisters named Mária, Ágnes, Cecilia, Gizella, Anna and Zsófia.  He was the second youngest of the seven children.
