Terézia's father was György Asbóth and his mother was Rozália Péntek. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Antal, László, László, Anna, Ágnes, Anna and László.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named József, Antal, Antal, János, Sándor, Terézia and Anna.
