Antal's father was György Asbóth and his mother was Katalin Keszei. He had four brothers and two sisters, named József, Antal, János, Sándor, Terézia and Anna.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Antal, Terézia, László, László, Anna, Ágnes, Anna and László.
