Julianna's father was Pál Asbóth and her mother was Katalin Szabó.  Her paternal grandparents were István Asbóth and Katalin Szabó. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Pál, Pál, Erzsébet, Julianna and Zsófia.  She was the third oldest of the six children. She had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Lajos, Lídia, Lajos, Zsófia, Ilona, Vilma and Mária.
