Julianna's father was József Asbóth and her mother was Julianna Dénes.  Her paternal grandparents were Ferenc Asbóth and Márta Nagy. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Gizella, Lajos, József, József, Mária, Rozália and Terézia.  She was the third oldest of the eight children.
