József Asbóth

József was born on February 14th, 1818 in Felsőszeleste and his baptism took place in Répceszentgyörgy.¹   József's father was Sándor Asbóth and his mother was Julianna Kiss. He had three brothers and six sisters, named József, János, István, Katalin, Barbara, Rozália, Anna, Erzsébet and Julianna.  He was the fourth oldest of the ten children.
