Éva's father was István Asbóth and her mother was Judit Pápai. She had eight brothers and three sisters, named Mihály, Mihály, Mihály, István, Pál, István, Pál, József, Erzsébet, Katalin and Katalin.  She was the youngest of the twelve children.
