Erzsébet's father was Antal Asbóth and her mother was Mária Greskovics.  Her paternal grandparents were János Asbóth and Zsuzsanna Drobni. She had a brother and two sisters, named Imre, Terézia and Eleonóra.  She was the youngest of the four children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named József, Antal, Rozália and Mária.
