Norma was born on February 1st, 1933.  Norma's father was George Maple Emery and her mother was Frances Coral Marsh (Emery).  Her paternal grandparents were George Mac and Laura Ann Barry (Emery). She had a brother and four sisters, named George, BabyGirl, Lola, Hazel and Barbara.  She is the fifth oldest of the six children.
