Barbara was born on December 1st, 1946.  Barbara's father was George Maple Emery and her mother was Frances Coral Marsh (Emery).  Her paternal grandparents were George Mac and Laura Ann Barry (Emery). She had a brother and four sisters, named George, BabyGirl, Lola, Hazel and Norma.  She is the youngest of the six children.
