George was born on December 19th, 1931.  George's father was George Maple Emery and his mother was Frances Coral Marsh (Emery).  His paternal grandparents were George Mac and Laura Ann Barry (Emery). He had five sisters named BabyGirl, Lola, Hazel, Norma and Barbara.  He is the fourth oldest of the six children.
