2nd LT Elijah was born in 1744 in Virginia.  2nd LT Elijah's father was Charles Christian Jr.  and his mother was Mary Leake (Christian).  His paternal grandparents were Charles Christian Snr. and Elizabeth Hunt (Christian). He had six brothers and four sisters, named John, Charles, The Ghost, The Shadow, William, Walter, George , Elizabeth , Mary, Judith and Mourning. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named William, Lucy and Judith.  He died at the age of 57 on May 23rd, 1801 in Lamar Creek, Franklin County, Georgia.
