Ellen Appleby

Ellen was born in 1846 in Hurworth, Durham. Ellen's father was William Appleby and her mother was Mary Howe. Her paternal grandparents were James Appleby and Ann Bell. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named John, James, Wm, Thompson, George, Thomas, Robert, Ann and Elizabeth. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children.
