William Appleby

William was born in 1808 in Hurworth, Durham. William's father was James Appleby and his mother was Ann Bell. His maternal grandparents are John Bell and Ann Bainbridge. He had seven brothers named John, George, Thomas, Robert, James, Christopher and Henry. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 87 in 1895.
