    NORTHUMBERLAND - Sharon D. Reader, 66, of 125 Hanover St., passed away on Monday, April 12, 2010, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
    She was born Feb. 26, 1944, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Gerald and Thelma (Gearhart) Remley. She was first married to Dennis Funk, who preceded her in death in 1982. On Jan. 1, 1983, she married Budd Reader, who survives.
    Sharon was a 1962 graduate of Northumberland High School and a graduate of the University of Albany School of Nursing.
    She was employed as a registered nurse at Sunbury Community Hospital for 23 years and retired from SUN Home Hospice in 2002.
    She was a member of Church of God, Muncy, and a life member of the Girl Scouts of America.
    Sharon enjoyed traveling, knitting and playing the organ.
    In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Lori Funk, of Shenandoah; two daughters and sons-in-law, LeAnne and Scott Lauver, of Mount Pleasant Mills, and Sharon "Becky" and Mark Snyder, of Selinsgrove; six grandchildren, Beth Frantz, Misti Funk, Donald Funk II, Lindsey Funk, Skylar Lauver and Robert Snyder; two great-grandchildren, Riley Frantz and Allan Funk; two sisters, Gail Lehman, of Selinsgrove, and Joyce Craber, of Zephen Hills, Fla.; and one brother, Gerald Remley, of Landisville.
    She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary, and one brother, Donald.
    Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 309 Water St., Northumberland. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Church of God, Route 405, Muncy, with the Rev. Isaac Wilson officiating.
    Burial will be in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg.
    Memorial donations may be made in Sharon's memory to Church of God.
